Karen Bowles is a songwriter/singer.  As a struggling guitarist she turned to the four stringed acoustic baritone ukulele and found true love and new opportunities.  Raised in Sevier County, in Tennessee, Karen had the great fortune to work for Dolly Parton’s radio station WSEV/WDLY, and be an extra in Dolly Parton’s Christmas movie, “Smoky Mountain Christmas”. Karen also worked at the Louise Mandrell Theater as a video technician and is a former producer for Albert Gannaway’s, “Grand Ole Opry Stars of the 1950’s”.

Karen has been writing songs since childhood.  She writes gospel, country, blues, bluegrass, and children’s songs which sometimes feature quirky characters she has created. Karen writes and performs songs from the heart but also enjoys making the audience laugh with her silly songs.  She plays at churches, local music venues, festivals and benefits.Karen believes in making others smile, laugh and think deeply about the joys of life.
